When life brings you lemons
I was so excited for this year. I thought it was going to be full of goodness and light. In this year of the Fire Horse, I thought things would move swiftly but brilliantly and I would be racing ahead, on the way to meeting my dreams.
This is where you hear a big record scratch on the TV shows. Things haven’t gone according to plan. In fact, I’d say they’ve been the exact opposite. What I thought was going to be an easy, flowing year has turned into one full of bumps and hurdles, huge emotions, and a lot of healing.
Full moon mayhem
It seems that every full moon is ‘significant’ and powerful in some way. And for those sensitives like me, the power of these moons has been wreaking havoc with our lives. I’ve had to write off 2-3 days for nearly every full moon as I cope with whatever it has brought up. Not willingly, I might add. It’s not something I want to be doing, but unfortunately something I have had to do, like many others on this path.
There is benefit in all this, of course. We are releasing what is no longer serving us and this is the year to do it. We are in a ‘one ‘ year, the start of a new cycle, and that means clearing what no longer serves is essential for the benefit of the next eight years of the nine year cycle. That doesn’t mean it’s easy though. And I thought that’s what last year was all about, so why is it still going on this year?! (I’ve just been told, as I’m writing this, that it’s clearing different stuff at a deeper level than we could do last year).
Call on support
I’ve had to call on LOTS of support, particularly since May when things really reached their peak for me. I’ve literally been throwing everything at it in order just to get through these times.
And there have been tears. Lots and lots of tears. There has been rage, anger, frustration, defeat, despair, loss of hopes and dreams. I have literally wondered where on earth I’m going with any of this, and I still don’t know. The way forward is uncertain but I do know one thing, something is going to change. It has to.
It’s been 9 years of hard slog on many different levels. I was so relieved to be starting a new 9 year cycle and feeling like everything would lift. I was excited to be on a new journey, one that I felt sure would be more positive and full of fun, joy and progress, only it hasn’t - yet.
When I look back on the last seven months it started off with everything at a complete standstill, followed by emotional clearing for the last three months. In his energy forecasts, Lee Harris said that the first six months of this year would be completely different to the second six months of this year, as in chalk and cheese. I’m hoping he’s right and that the last four months of the year provide a sudden turn-around because I can’t say the first seven months have been that much fun. Maybe it’s been the same for you?
I know I’m not the only one experiencing this because several people close to me have been experiencing similar things. If you feel like you’ve been through the wringer, know that you are not alone. A lot of us are suffering. It just means you are a conscious being going through an upgrade, and that’s important - but not necessarily easy.
So what can we do to get through this?
Self care, support and mindset
First and foremost we need to look after ourselves. Self care is crucial at these times. Give yourself time and space. Don’t rush it. You may need time alone, and/or time in nature. I spent yesterday outside attacking anything I didn’t like with my pruning saw and shouting rather a lot. I now have a pile of prickly stuff I don’t know what to do with.
Secondly, allow yourself to feel. It is the emotions that need releasing. If this involves shouting at the universe or in the shower, then do it. If you need to cry, then cry all day if you need to. By the way, did you know that emotional tears are quite different to reflex tears (i.e. caused by smoke, onion vapor or hayfever)? Emotional tears contain stress hormones and pain killers whereas reflex tears don’t, so it really is good for you to cry.
Thirdly, change your mindset. This is REALLY difficult when you are deep in it and something I struggle with myself. This is where help comes in. Call for help, call for support in whatever way works for you. If you are like me, you may need time alone first to work through the emotions and only then do you feel like you are ready to receive help.
I do find that sharing my issues with like minded people can be incredibly helpful. I often get a different perspective that helps me change my mindset. Or maybe it’s just the benefit of their energy that helps me. They don’t need to do or say anything. Just connecting with them is often enough, even if it’s just a phone call. If you have someone in your life like that, call them. It always helps.
Reap the learning
Another thing you can do to help you change your mindset is look at what learning is being provided through all this. What is your soul teaching you through these experiences? This can sometimes be hard to identify on your own. I tend to get caught in the emotion of it all so I call on the Akashic Records to help me identify what I’m learning through this process. However, if I’m caught in anger and rage, it’s not a good time to connect with the Records because I literally don’t what to hear what they have to say and argue the case with them! Better to wait until I’ve calmed down a bit before having that conversation. I’ve learnt that now!
Sometimes, what we are being taught is to see things differently or we need to take action in a different way. Theres the old saying “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade”. It’s a good saying, but sometimes it’s not the answer. Sometimes the answer is to just leave the lemons and move on.
Forget the lemons!
Here’s a physical example. In my honesty box I recently built (which I thought was a brilliant idea and looks great), I’ve been selling lemons. I thought they’d fly off the shelf. I’ve sold about 6 I think over the last two months. Dismal. It could be that they are overpriced or it could also be that everyone has enough lemons this year, which I think is more the point. The lemons aren’t serving so I’m moving on. Forget the lemons, I’m moving to oranges, just as soon as they are ripe! If you’ve got lemons (metaphorically speaking) and they are no longer serving, perhaps it’s time to move on to something else. It’s worth considering.
Let’s hope that the next four months are lighter and brighter than what we’ve experienced so far this year. If you are struggling and need a bit of help, you may want to consider an Akashic Record Reading which you can book here or an Intuitive Life Coaching series in which I provide coaching whilst connected to your Akashic Record. This is a new offering, so I haven’t got a page set up for this yet, but you can book it in the same place as an Akashic Record Reading, or message me to find out more about it.
I really hope for all of us that we find everything eases as we move into the latter part of the year. It has certainly been a year of, once again, learning to seek support and double down on the self care.
Take care out there.
